Marlow Navigation has revealed a range of major enhancements to its renowned CrewCompanion App, along with a completely new web-based version. These enhancements are set to improve the way Marlow Offshore seafarers interact with the platform, making it more accessible, secure, and user-friendly than ever before.
New Single Sign-On Method
One of the standout features of this update is the integration of a new Marlow Single Sign-On (SSO) method. This addition simplifies the login process, allowing users to access the app and web version with a single set of credentials. After updating the App to the latest version, current passwords will no longer work. Users have the choice to use Single Sign-On (SSO) if their Marlow-registered email corresponds with a social media account, or they can reset their passwords using the ‘forgot password’ option.
Introducing CrewCompanion on the Web
In affording Marlow seafarers more flexibility, the software team has launched a web version of its popular app. This new platform offers all the functionalities of the mobile app, now accessible from any web browser. The web version is designed to provide a consistent and intuitive user experience, ensuring that all features are just a click away!
Further improvements
Updates also focus on improving crew interaction with their crew manager. For instance, seafarers can now directly change and update their Next of Kin (NOK) details without the need for extra signatures and consent forms. The new editing capabilities are set to extend into other aspects of daily administration tasks in the future.
These updates mark a significant milestone for CrewCompanion and crew registered with Marlow Offshore, offering enhanced security, convenience, and accessibility beginning July 31st, 2024. To enjoy them, make sure to keep your App updated to the latest respective version on Android and iOS or download directly from CrewCompanion Web (Support > CrewCompanion App).
